A Guide Weekend Dining in Paris

Eating Out Paris - A Guide Weekend Dining
Everyone knows that the nickname of Paris is “The City of Lights”. It is the international capital for fashion, shopping and culture. but for gourmands everywhere it is not the Eiffel Tower, Louis Vuitton or even the Louvre museum that beckons them For the epicurean, the draw of the city by the Seine, can only be the food. Spend a delectable weekend discovering the joys of eating out in Paris.
On Saturday
Breakfast
Wake up early and skip the breakfast at the hotel. If you hesitate where to book your hotel, please have a look on our selection of Paris Charming Hotel or 4-star hotels in Paris. Instead head on over to Boulangerie Kayser at 8, Rue Monge in the Latin Quarter for 'de rigueur' croissant and cafe au lait. If the weather is fair, choose the modern outside seating for people watching. Or you can choose to have your breakfast at Café de Flore in Boulevard Saint Germain. Café de Flore has delicious crusty baguettes, assorted jam preserves, strong coffee, and superb hot chocolate.
Lunch
Eating in one of the finer Michelin starred restaurants can ruin your travel budget, but to keep your Paris travel budget healthy, you can opt to have lunch at one. At 135, rue Saint-Dominique, the famous Le Violon d'Ingres is a fine choice. With its classic French fare prepared by Chef/Owner Christian Constant, you can't go wrong with the set menu accompanied by wine from the restaurant's well chosen list.
Dinner
Avoid the expense and the tourist dinner scene and dine at Hotel du Nord, a favorite of the locals. Located at 102 Quai Jemappes, this classic restaurant with a beautifully decorated dining room and bar is both subtle and chic. With both traditional and modern French inspired dishes on the low priced menu, spending an evening can be downright romantic. Stick around for a few drinks at the bar after the meal. Perhaps you will prefer dinnig at the restaurant le 58 Tour Eiffel which is situated on the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower or enjoying a dinner cruise for a romantic weekend in Paris .
On Sunday
Brunch
Sleep late and when you are fully recovered from Saturday night, head over to Le Fumoir at 6 Rue Adival-de-Coligny M. Louvre Rivoli for a great brunch. With reasonable prices, excellent food and a killer location -right next to the Louvres- Le Fumoir makes an excellent first stop on your last morning in Paris.
A light Preflight meal
Avoid the airplane food and have a light meal before you get to the airport. Visit the century old Brasserie Wepler at 14, place de Clichy and enjoy a terrific seafood meal. Once the restaurant was the daily haunt of artists such as Picasso, Brasserie Wepler now serves the freshest seafood and the speciality of the house, raw oysters, can be eaten in the dining room or taken away for a Seine-side picnic.
