Nothing can compare to a romantic weekend in the beautiful city of Paris. All of France has charm and beauty; not only does Paris offer these qualities it also offers some of the most romantic moments you will find. If you visit Paris on your honeymoon, an anniversary, whatever just plan to enjoy every moment.

Start your romantic weekend with a memorable Seine River cruise. Aside from the pleasurable cruise you will see one of best urban landscapes in the world thanks to the Parisian people who have embellished the Seine River banks. You will also have the chance to see such famous monuments as Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. The quaint bridges, the oldest one being the Pont-Neuf, built in 1607, are attractions you will see along the way. Also the romantic pedestrian Passerelle des Arts will be passed. If you prefer you can take a more romantic evening cruise and enjoy dinner along with the remarkable illuminations of Paris in the evening.

The 5th District of Paris, better known as the Latin Quarter, is a popular area located on the Left Bank of the Seine River. This will be a beautiful experience when you view the ancient Gallo-Roman Paris houses. Here you will find a number of rare archaeological remains that are viewable within the district. The area gets its name stemming from the 13th Century. The students who lived in the area only spoke Latin. The La Sorbonne established in 1253 is also located here. The area has long been dominated by students because of the number of colleges and universities located in this area. You can visit the Pantheon where the tombs of such famous people as Voltaire, Victor Hugo, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie Curie and others are buried. Inside you can visit the Foucault's Pendulum which is truly one of the most majestic sights in Paris.

The Faubourg Saint-Germain-des-Pres is a one-time suburb located on the Left Bank. It is across the Seine River and runs along the southern shore of the Seine. This is considered the intellectual center of Paris. You will find a variety of bookshops, coffee houses, galleries, nighclubs, bistros, and so forth. Here you will find the famous Cafe Les Deux Magos, the Cafe de Flore, and the Brasserie Lipp. These are places where the writers of the Lost Generation' of the 20's and 30's would hang out.
